As a result of the high volume of responses, all volunteer positions are currently filled, and we have closed applications. We will reopen applications on a rolling basis as space becomes available.

  • → Thank you for expressing interest in the LoveShinePlay Festival's work trade program. Volunteers form the core of our festival, and your invaluable contributions allow us to organize an extraordinary event. We are actively looking for dedicated, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals who are willing to lend a hand. Your support will play a crucial role in creating an unforgettable experience for both our presenters and attendees.

    I’ve submitted an application, now what?→
    Thank you so much for submitting. We will let you know if we have a space for you ASAP. Once all of our spots are filled, we begin our waitlist and we will accept on an as-needed basis.

    Once you have been accepted, you will be required to make your payment to secure your spot. Volunteers will receive their volunteer hours in March and be able to sign up for classes in May. We are not able to accommodate requests for specific hours, please make sure that you are available for all hours of the event.

  • What does it mean→
    At the Asheville Yoga Festival, we prefer the term "Work Trade" instead of "Volunteer" to emphasize the commitment involved. Participants are expected to contribute 10-12 hours of work between Wednesday and Sunday of the festival, along with a non-refundable* payment of $75.

    What do you get→
    In return for this service, work trade participants receive

    1. a volunteer t-shirt

    2. a full three-day SHINE pass for the festival (valid Friday - Sunday)

    3. a memorable weekend filled with magic.

    The festival pass allows attendance in classes during non-working hours.

    Why→

    To ensure the success of the festival, a non-refundable* fee is required upon acceptance, serving as a binding contract for both parties to fulfill their commitments. Work-trade spaces are limited and fill up quickly, with priority given to returning volunteers and then on a first-come basis.

  • The LoveShinePlay Festival believes in fair rights for all individuals. We do not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity (including gender expression), sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, or political beliefs.

    If you prefer not to accept the festival ticket in exchange for your work trade, your fee will be refunded.
